Dear Friends of Chiapas,

The main goal of MTF continues to be the education of the indigenous youth in Chiapas. Education is the best way to give people the tools they need to support their families and communities. Because you are so much a part of this program, we wanted to share with you a recent tragedy that heavy rains brought to Yajalón on Sept 25.

Although neither the Boys´ Ranch nor Casa Santa Maria was directly affected, extensive damage was caused by flooding. Four people lost their lives and ten more remain missing. Most of the coffee beans were knocked off the bushes by the heavy rains. When you look at the photos sent by our college graduates, please pray for our people.
